Job Description:
This position will primarily support the Aerojet Rocketdyne Camden, AR. Performs duties associated with providing administrative and technical support of all security, video and access control systems within the facility. Performs security inspections to ensure that security policies/procedures are followed in the handling and storage of classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Track/analyze data, and maintain contracts associated with maintenance, procurement and recurring inspections. Performs oversight of installation and maintenance activities to ensure contract and statement of work compliance. Perform combo changes as required and key/rekey COTS cores and the cutting of keys. Train personnel on all aspects of access control, alarm monitoring, and other associated duties. Works with managers, supervisors and subordinate personnel to develop and give security instructions; conduct security training programs, education classes, or special subject briefings. Knowledge of Department of Defense security requirements and UL alarm standards. Develops and administers security programs in accordance with security policies/procedures as well as Federal and Industrial Security Manual policies and procedures. Develops and ensures adherence to policies and procedures in accordance with contractual and facility requirements. Keeps current with Federal security regulations as well as the Industrial Security Manual policies/procedures and implements changes. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to translate complex technical instructions into user-friendly actions. Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interface with all levels of personnel. Ability to operate effectively in a team environment. Performs special studies or administrative investigations regarding security issues.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee the AR-Camden architecture, configuration, specifications, installation, modification and maintenance of security, video, alarm and other security systems.
- Perform security inspections and conduct tests of intrusion alarms as outlined in contracts or other applicable directives to ensure compliance to policies/procedures for the handling and storage of classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.
- Ensure optimal performance of security systems and end user functionality.
- Direct and coordinate response to alarms.
- Evaluate security programs and implements changes to increase the effectiveness of such programs. Provide oversight of day-to-day locksmith
- Ensure compliance under 32 CFR 117 and DoD 5100.76m
- Support the tracking and monitoring of physical security data in the site Information Management System
- Periodic travel may be required
- Support site security manager with security investigations as needed
- Be available for off-hour call-ins
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US security clearance
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a BSIS Alarm Company Employee/Agent Card as a condition of employment
- Must be able to obtain GSA Authorized Safe and Vault Inspector/Technician Certification from Lockmaster Security Institute (LSI)
- Must be able to obtain KABA MAS Installation and Operation of X-10 certification
- Must be able to obtain certificate for Model 274OB Electromechanical Safe Lock Installation.
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Familiar with UL 2050 certification processes and policies
- Knowledge of 32 CFR 117, UL 2050, DoD 5100.76m, and ATF-P-5400-7
- Experience with access control installation and visitor management software programming
- Experience with installation and programing of NDAA complaint cameras
