Job Description:
As an Electrical Engineer Specialist in the Agile Development Group (ADG), you will be part of developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV). Your main duties will include working test and integration of electrical systems including circuit card assemblies containing analog, digital, power and high-speed circuits, along with supporting cables and wiring harnesses for UAS / UAV’s, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies.
Essential Functions:
- Execute system, CCA and component level functional testing and document results.
- Debug and perform root cause analysis as needed.
- Coordinate with Systems and Mechanical Engineering to integrate new electronic hardware.
- Setup, configure, and document hardware and software systems under test, including loading software onto multiple devices to perform verification and validation.
- Participate in design of product support test hardware including breakout boards and interface cable fixtures.
- Interact with software engineers to test and troubleshoot electrical circuits and interfaces of the CCAs
- Develop test plans and procedures for digital subsystems and all relevant documentation for design description and requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in engineering or science and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related Electrical Engineering experience.
- Must be eligible to obtain a government security clearance
- Hands-on experience with digital test equipment including oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, signal generator, and power meters
- Professional experience working with the following technologies:
- Advanced processors
- I2C, SPI, RS232, RS422, Ethernet, PCIe, RS485, and USB interfaces
- Power switching circuits
- Motor drivers
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active DoD clearance
- Altium Designer Software
