Job Description:

The Specialist, Program Management will be a Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and in-depth knowledge of project management. Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes, and approaches. Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.

Essential Functions:

  • Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Drives program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
  • Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test. Expands the product line with the customer.
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems, and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years of prior Program Management experience.
  • Graduate Degree with two (2) years of prior Program Management experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of eight (8) years of prior Program Management experience.
  • Active Secret clearance is required at the time of hire.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $85,500 - $158,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
