Job Description:

L3Harris is looking for a highly motivated candidate to fulfill the role of Principal, Army Sales Account Manager. This role is a senior level key stakeholder in the development and execution of L3Harris Communications System’s annual operating and strategic growth plan. This individual will be responsible for capturing current business and the identification of new business opportunities within the Army tactical communications market. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Army executive agencies including PEO C3N and PEO IEW&S. Experience with the National Guard, Reserve and Active Army units a plus. This position reports to the Director of Army Tactical Communications Business within the Communications Systems business segment.

Essential Functions:

  • Meet and exceed annual operating plan.
  • Identify and capture new business within the assigned Army customer accounts. 
  • Support the segment’s strategic growth planning (SGP) and annual operating plan (AOP) processes.
  • Develop and brief annual account plan to the business; secure resources to achieve plan.
  • Develop and present executive level briefings and presentations on business cases that support growth in existing and new markets.
  • Work closely with other account managers, business development managers, program management, product line management, engineering and other core functional leaders across the segment and corporate organizational structure.
  • Accurate and timely tracking of business opportunities and customer contacts via customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Understand soldier systems with strong understanding of associated requirements.
  • Know tactical waveforms and communications requirements for the U.S. Army customer.
  • Possess strong communication, presentation, negotiation, collaboration and cross functional leadership skills.
  • In depth knowledge of DoD requirements and acquisition processes.
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
  • Ability to travel – approx. 25%.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant Sales experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related Sales experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 15 years of prior related Sales experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited institution.
  • DoD industry experience
  • Experience working with DoD prime system integrators.
  • Experience developing new business opportunities within the Department of Defense

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Maryland, $136,00 - $253,500.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
