Job Schedule: 9/80; Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off
Job Description:
This individual will collaborate with management and subject matter experts to identify and establish required job skills matrices to determine employee training needs, ensuring alignment with customer and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Provide day-to-day work direction for direct report(s), focuses on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions.
- Provides input on hiring, firing, promotion, performance, and/or compensation decisions for direct report(s). Reports directly to a manager or higher.
- Communicates with parties inside and outside of own team to explain and interpret policies, practices, and procedures of the area of responsibility.
- Adjusts procedures and processes. Plans and establishes operational objectives for a team with some impact on department results.
- Understands supervisory approaches and has practical knowledge of Operations (Manufacturing/Test/Engineering).
- High level of technical problem solving related to product functionality, process execution while adjusts resources, procedures and processes meet daily goals.
- Identifies, defines, and addresses general problems that are typically within the immediate job area or team.
- Assigns tasks to a team to achieve operational targets, service standards, etc.
- May manage day-to-day elements of the budget (e.g., overtime for staff).
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.
- Position is 100% onsite
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Experience leading and managing a team of professionals.
- Experience in test execution/debug, production control and manufacturing
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Education and or a high level of experience associated to engineering diciplines such as electrical, computer, mechanical, etc..
- Ability to delegate tasks, manage resources effectively, and drive team performance to achieve organizational objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with both team members and senior management.
- Proven experience in manufacturing processes such as production planning, process optimization, and quality control.
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems and techniques such as lean manufacturing, six sigma, or automated production systems.
- Strong understanding of development strategies, resource planning, and establishing targets to meet expected goals.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
- Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, tactics, and employees within a team.
- Strong knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
