Job Description:
The BCS Sector is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) leader to drive sector data access, maintenance, and visualization. This leader will be key to setting the vision, leading change efforts, and ensuring adherence to BCS business systems, L3Harris policies, and industry standards. The organization will be built on four pillars – Data & Systems Administration, Advanced BI Analytics, End-to-End (E2E) Capability Ownership, and Business Partnership. The successful candidate will have the ability to drive/guide a business intelligence team and internal customers toward best business practices utilizing standard tools and processes. This position requires strategic vision and ability to deploy large scale projects to improve and sustain forecasting and predictive capabilities across the BCS Sector. This individual will work on significantly diverse assignments, assist with standardization of processes, and foster a collaborative team setting.
Essential Functions:
- Lead strategic initiatives to deliver industry leading business intelligence, training material/user instructions, and provide guidance and consulting to functions and programs
- Maintain Data and Systems Administration, working closely with IT, to own master data quality/improvements and ensure stable and effective technology platforms
- Develop Advanced BI Analytics to produce KPIs and actionable insights
- Full ownership of BI products to drive standards and adoption
- Engage with functions and programs as key stakeholders and partner with business on their data and reporting needs
- Conduct analysis of current state and future state to drive technical roadmap and centralization of business reporting that meet data standards and customer needs
- Lead various continuous improvement (e3) initiatives for the Business Intelligence team
- Disciplined, self-starting professional who can bring projects to closure with minimum direction, guidance and oversight
- Manage a team of systems administrators, data governance, business intelligence, and product owners
- Translate business needs into successful execution of intuitive and insightful dashboards and reporting solutions BI solutions using data modeling and reporting tools such as Snowflake, Qlik and PowerBI
- Streamline and reduce the number business tools within the organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related Business Analyst experience or Graduate degree with a minimum of 13 years of years of prior related Business Analyst experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related Business Analyst experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- 1-3 years leadership experience
- Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Business systems including PowerBI, Qlik, and Snowflake
- Demonstrated experience with data architecture, ETL processes, data modeling, and data flows
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects and teams
- Ability to lead and develop relationships with geographically dispersed teams
- Objective thinker with a passion for problem solving and the ability to execute challenging tasks to completion
