Job Description:
This person will contribute to the company’s success by participating in digital circuit design and product integration. This role will report directly to a Senior Engineering Manager and is responsible for successfully desiging digital circuit boards for Software Defined Radios and associated equipment, as well as working with cross functional teams to support product integration and manufacturing introduction.
Essential Functions:
- Support digital and related analog hardware research, design, and development of circuit board assemblies
- Develop requirements from high-level use cases and product description documents
- Digital hardware printed circuit board (PCB) design including requirement analysis, high level design, schematic capture and layout analysis
- Make design decisions and assess technical risks
- Perform simulation and analysis such as digital signal integrity
- Perform integration with other subsystems
- Perform subsystem and system level verification and validation testing
- Identify, track and repair assigned hardware defects
- Ability to obtain a US security clearance is required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant digital design experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related digital design experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related digital design experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Basic understanding of Radio Frequency circuits and Software Defined Radio architectures
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC design and test techniques for conducted and radiated emissions (MIL-STD-461)
- Familiarity with Boundary Scan tools and how to use them
- Experience with embedded SW, scripting and/or HDL as part of design analysis and troubleshooting
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $79,000 - $146,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
