Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Integration and Test Engineer to join our Space and Airborne team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles and hands-on experience in the planning, integration and testing of complex and specialized systems and sub-systems. This I&T engineer is responsible for the development of test plans & procedures, test scripts and various documentation for First Article Qualification Tests and Factory Acceptance Tests. This position collaborates with other engineering disciplines, program management, quality assurance and product leads.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures for complex systems.
- Perform system integration to ensure that subsystems work together seamlessly.
- Conduct tests, analyze results, and troubleshoot issues to ensure system requirements are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system design and development.
- Document test procedures, results, and recommendations for system enhancements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to program engineers and other team members.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, tools, and practices.
- Procure required equipment to support system build and create supporting documentation to include drawing tree, parts list, and interconnect diagrams.
- Design, build, operation, and maintenance of test sets and test equipment.
- Support the development, allocation, verification of requirements at all levels of the program.
- Debug, analyze and verify products meet functional and performance requirements .
Qualifications:
- BS/BA (or equivalent) in Optical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, and minimum 4 years Software or systems experience or Graduate’s degree and 2 years software or systems experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior military or related experience
- Active Top Secret or TS/SCI Clearance
- Electronics experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Electronics testing background – knowledge of test process flow and execution,
- MIL-STD-810 test experience,
- First Article Qualification testing,
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzer),
- Ability to automate test procedures and data analysis activities,
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure design: power requirements, rack build-out, and cooling,
- Experience with various communications / network equipment tests.
- Ability to automate test procedures and data analysis activities,
- Engineering principles, especially verification/validation,
- Self-motivated individual able to work independently with minimal supervision,
- Direct experience interfacing with customer personnel and leadership,
- Demonstrated ability and desire to learn from self-training as well as via transfer of experience and technique,
- Demonstrated humble, leadership in small, diverse team, fast paced environment,
- Strong communication ability: verbal and written using MS Word and PowerPoint,
- Experience communicating and presenting complex technical issues to various audiences (technical counterparts, program management, customer leadership, etc.),
