Job Description:
L3Harris is expanding our in-house semiconductor research and development efforts and capabilities. This role will allow you to shape the process development, sustainment, and improvement of semiconductor processing. This opportunity is at the core of a new technology area and is looking for innovative researchers and operators to develop, grow, and transition from lab development to a high-volume environment. We are seeking an advanced professional with practical knowledge of the semiconductor fabrication equipment area. You will be a vital member of our growing manufacturing team, responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of semiconductor manufacturing equipment used in defense industry projects. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of semiconductor tools through regular maintenance, process definition, troubleshooting, and repair activities
Essential Functions:
- Develops and executes tactical and operational plans and goals for the department
- Lead teams responsible for advanced maintenance, repair, and calibration of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including equipment engineering, process engineering, and shift administration and coordination
- Define and lead preventative maintenance plans and sparing for multi-tool process flows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement equipment enhancements or modifications for improved efficiencies
- Lead teams through process improvement activities (5S, value stream mapping, etc.) for new tool installation through production
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science Engineering or related field and a minimum of 15 years or prior related experience
- In leu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related work experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Prior or current experience with management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end and manage multiple priorities / projects simultaneously
- Experience in leadership and business development
- Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
- Experience with classified government programs and acquisition
