About your next Challenge as a Systems Architect
Job Description:
- Lead architecture design for embedded real-time SOC platforms, including BSP and boot;
- Work with Product Owners and Software Engineers to scope and plan development activities;
- Lead design and development of new solutions and resolve design and software problems;
- Participate in design and code reviews of the system software under development;
- Manage the software requirements and ensure their satisfying through verification and validation activities such as running tests cases;
- Collaborate with other engineers to resolve technical issues;
- Conduct and prepare presentations and demonstrations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or related field;
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in embedded systems design and development;
- Strong knowledge and experience with embedded software architecture, design and development in C/C++;
- Familiar with real-time operating systems (RTOS);
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git);
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities;
- Strong attention to detail and quality;
- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with FPGA is an asset;
- Proficiency in hardware design and debugging is an asset;
- Experience in military systems and standards for embedded is an asset;
- Experience with or knowledge of virtualization and containerization, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and HyperV is an asset;
- Experience designing and developing highly available, fault tolerant and distributed systems is an asset;
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2 / NATO Secret security clearance.
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
