Job Description:
The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris is seeking a Supervisor, Quality Document Control to work at our Orange, VA location. The Documentation center is an integral part of the organization which maintains traceability records for all motor builds. The team assembles manufacturing records and builds documentation into a package that is presented to the onsite customers (Company and Government) for motor sales. The Supervisor plans and establishes operational objectives for the team in order to deliver quality error free data to the onsite customers. The Supervisor is responsible for fostering an environment focused on personal development, professionalism and customer focus for their direct reports.
Essential Functions:
The Quality Supervisor plays a pivotal role in leadership by guiding the team to ensure adherence to quality standards, fostering professional development, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Drives program success and achieves customer satisfaction through diligent oversight, effective communication, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring both product excellence and team advancement within the organizational framework.
Oversees non-exempt staff, directing daily tasks and productivity, and making operational decisions.
Contributes to decisions on hiring, promotions, performance, discipline, and compensation for their team and reports to the Quality Engineering Manager.
Makes routine adjustments to methods and processes to resolve problems, typically within the immediate job area or team.
Provides solutions by applying past experience, standard procedures, and basic analysis.
Oversees and drives quality documentation team to meet operational goals at the program and site level.
Delegates, where applicable tasks to achieve targets and service standards without direct budget or Profit & Loss responsibility, but may oversee daily budget aspects such as staff overtime.
Nurtures talent through mentoring, continuous feedback, goal setting, development opportunities, and fostering a supportive environment for professional growth.
Ability to obtain US Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior Quality experience. Graduate Degree and 0 years of prior Quality experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior Quality experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience collaborating within a Microsoft 365 environment, with proficiency in the included applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
Direct leadership/supervisory experience.
Project Management experience.
Supplier/Customer Support expereince.
Regulatory & Auditing (AS9100) in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
