Job Description:
The Sr Specialist, Program Finance is responsible for the financial management, review and estimating of assigned service and production programs. They will partner with program management teams to analyze and assist in the Short-Term Forecasting of the programs. The analyst will prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, verify actual cost reporting, provide variance analysis, support monthly closing activities, and prepare customer reports when where required.
Essential Functions:
- Focus on cost control, achieving financial targets, and driving cash flow.
- Preparation of weekly cost reports for customer and cost account management review.
- Work with program management and the program teams to report the health of assigned programs. Prepare program management review packages and EACs.
- Participate in the development and input of budgets and work breakdown structures.
- Analyze expenditure trends and revenue projections.
- Develop, communicate, and recommend action plans with program teams to ensure financial targets and program goals are achieved.
- Support finance leadership team in analysis of monthly and quarterly program performance.
- Provide financial analysis for audits and other financial activities, as necessary.
- Upload short term forecast utilizing FCSTGOV.
- Responsible for knowing and maintaining compliance with L3Harris policies and procedures.
- Support in the pricing of proposals.
- Strong teamwork and business partnering skills.
- Process improvement oriented, ability to identify and implement improvement ideas.
- Advanced MS Excel.
- Other special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with six (6) years of prior Program Finance experience.
- Or, Graduate Degree with four (4) years of prior Program Finance experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of ten (10) years of prior Program Finance experience.
- Two (2) years of experience in DoD industry programs.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Experience with a financial ERP system, such as Deltek CostPoint.
- Experience with a financial forecasting system, such as Hyperion.
- Experience with multiple contract types (CP/FP/T&M).
