About your next Challenge as a Lead, Material Management:

The Material Management Lead is responsible for coaching, supporting and advising the Material Management team. He/she acts as SME for the material management team and ensures that processes are adequate.

He/she ensures that material management performance indicators are kept up to date, acts as a supply chain representative in certain projects assigned to him/her, and drives the continuous improvement of procedures/processes in his/her sector in order to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Close collaboration with several different functions (program, engineering, procurement, methods, production and finance) in a multi-site context is an important success factor in meeting our customers' needs (quality/delivery/cost). 

What will you do:

  • Lead the development and implementation of various material management strategies and processes for all multi-site operations;
  • Plan and coordinate actions with team members to meet deliverables and plan;
  • Oversee the development, implementation and communication of material management procedures;
  • Develop and drive the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing material management;
  • Develop and maintain material management reports and performance indicators;
  • Streamline work methods to reduce cycles and implement tools to improve material management processes;
  • Adapt to a dynamic environment where customer needs are constantly evolving, and to maneuver effectively within sometimes tight deadlines;
  • Communicates revised deadlines with internal customers and manager in the event of delays or problems.
  • Proposes solutions / alternative and submit recovery plan when necessary.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management or industrial engineering or equivalent;
  • Minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience in materials management;
  • Mastery of supply chain and inventory management concepts and processes;
  • Knowledge of SAP, an asset;
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft office suite required;
  • Communication skills in both French and English (oral and written). The knowledge of the English language, other than the French language is necessary due to contractual requirements.;
  • Teamwork, initiative, flexibility, stress management and customer service are desirable behaviors;
  • Intermediate Excel level;
  • Good analytical skills;

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2 / NATO Secret security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
