Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Machinist to join our team. As a machinist D you will contribute to our team with your vast experience and skills. You will be a valuable part of a close nit team that works together to solve problems. You will be expected to also mentor some of our junior machinists from time to time. We are a good mix of production as well as plant/production support. You will be exposed to Haas, Puma, Okuma, Hermely Cnc Mills, and lathes.
Essential Functions:
- Knowledge of hand tools and measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers
- Use of CAD/CAM, GD&T, and G and M code
- Work on a manual machine as well as a CNC
- Use of Mathmatical skills
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 8 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 4 years prior experience
- 4 years of machine shop experience
- 4 years of manufacturing experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Degree in Machining
- Experience with Master Cam
- Experince with machining of composites
