Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager that will be involved in activities directly related to the management of a team of experienced system engineers. Will be required to lead a team of system engineers through the development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system architecture design, hardware and software integration, and verification and validation activities related to SIGINT/ELINT Airborne Systems.
Essential Functions:
- Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts
- Manages the implementation of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the SIGINT Systems department goals
- Manages the experienced professionals of the SIGINT Development Systems department
- Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for the SIGINT Development Systems department to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business goals
- Has hiring, firing, promotion and compensation authority within the SIGINT Development Systems organization
- Communicates with parties within and outside of the organization, which includes large customers and vendors
- Works to influence others to accept new practices, concepts, and approaches
- Requires ability to communicate and influence leadership regarding matters of substantial importance to the SIGINT Systems department
- Responsible for improving upon existing processes or establishing new processes and systems
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- Graduate Degree plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of relevant experience is required.
- Experience leading and establishing guidance across diverse teams is preferred.
- Experience in design, development, and/or testing of ELINT RF Antenna systems.
- Microsoft Office experience
- Secret Clearance
