Job Description:
Reporting to the VP / GM of the Undersea Systems Division, the Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (AUV) Business PM Director is responsible for the performance culture and strategic direction of this business. Based in Fall River, MA this director will lead our AUV team of about ~75 people including program manager direct reports as well as matrixed cross-functional business leaders across multiple sites.
Responsiblities include:
- Briefing leaders across L3 Harris on business performance and strategy.
- Directing all phases of programs from inception through completion.
- Driving program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new or current programs.
- Assessing market and define growth strategy for portfolio.
- Coordinating the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
- Developing and/or conducts gate reviews for new business proposals and program execution milestones.
- Participating in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
- Acting as primary customer contact for business area activities and leads business area review sessions with customer. Supports program managers responsible for individual program performance including cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Establishing business milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
- Must be capable of obtaining a US Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Soft skills (I.E. Proficient in MS Office, Strong communication…)
- Requires both advanced business knowledge and highest level of technical mastery in functional area. Leadership capability to guide business or functional teams without formal management role.
- MS Engineering or MBA Degree
- US Secret Security Clearance
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
- Experience as Program Manager for DoD/DoN large program (>$25M annual revenue).
