Job Description:
The cloud security engineer will help mature the cybersecurity posture of the company through architecting secure operational practices, governance, and performing risk assessments. They will support business initiatives to ensure that cyber security requirements and best practices are included within enterprise projects. This role will be focused on cybersecurity of AWS and Azure as well as supporting automations that automate security best practices and speed the analysis and response of security events.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the cyber security architecture and engineering of new information technology initiatives.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to automate and orchestrate cyber security practices in partnership with the security operations center.
- Evaluate new cyber security technologies and recommend cyber security best practices to business leadership.
- Support the cyber security architecture and operations of AWS and Azure Government and Global clouds.
- Support cyber security and compliance review and approval of new SaaS workloads along with supporting cyber security engineering efforts to operationalize new service offerings.
- Support the implementation of cyber security frameworks such as NIST 800-171, & CMMC 2.0.
- Work with stakeholders to design and support cyber security solutions to meet business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- 3+ Technical expertise with AWS and/or Azure.
- 3+ Experience architecting secure enterprise class business solutions.
- 3+ Experience leading / managing large technical projects.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- CISSP
- Certified Cloud Security Professional
- Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or performing incident response duties.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Knowledge of python and powershell
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, Washington State and New York State is $106,500-$197,500. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area and New York City, the salary range for this role is $122,500-$227,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
