Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Program Manager that directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. These programs involve engagements with multiple companies and other subcontractors. Previous experience leading development, production, repair, and/or sustainment programs is required. This program manager will drive program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow. Is responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of programs.
Essential Functions:
- Management of IR & PM tasking (around $1M)
- Coordinate with stakeholders to identify opportunities and solutions and provide issue resolution across the program lifecycle, including proposal, production, and support
- Effectively manage program risks and opportunities
- Responsible for cost and schedule performance, planning and forecasting
- Monitor and report status on cost, schedule and deliveries using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) methodology and tools
- Interface with Engineering, Operations, Purchasing/Subcontracts Management, Finance, Contracts and Quality to support on time delivery
- Identify continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities
- Lead proposal preparation, including technical description, statement of work, and cost/schedule estimation for both sole-source and competitive proposals
- Provide concise reports to management on status, potential issues, risks, and solution recommendations
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Active Secret, or higher, US Security clearance, or confident you can obtain a clearance
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior program management experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior program management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior program management experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or demonstrated technical aptitude
- 5+ years’ experience with a strong understanding of DoD program management methodologies (includes developing resource loaded IMS, executing IBR, managing complex risks, strong development program management skills)
- 2 years professional experience as a Program or Project Manager leading program execution and proposal preparation, including technical description, statement of work, and cost/schedule estimation for both sole-source and competitive proposals
- Experience leading teams in a matrixed organization
- Proficient using the advanced features of the entire MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Proficient with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) methodology and tools to monitor and report status on program execution, Cobra preferred
- Master’s degree in engineering or STEM related field
- Experience leading large development programs
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $85,500 - $158,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
