The Associate, HR Business Partner is a key role within the Human Resources department, providing essential support to the Labor Relations function. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong administrative skills, the ability to generate comprehensive reports, and the capacity to contribute to strategic labor relations initiatives and projects. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of labor policies and practices, as well as strong communication, follow-up and organizational skills.
Essential Functions:
- Provide administrative support to the Labor Relations team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining files, and managing correspondence.
- Generate accurate and timely reports related for labor activities, including grievance tracking, collective bargaining updates, and compliance with labor laws.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for negotiations, arbitrations, and other labor relations processes.
- Serve as a liaison between the Labor Relations team and other departments, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Participate in the analysis of labor relations data to identify patterns, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the Labor Relations team in fostering positive relationships with union representatives and employees.
- Assist with the administration of collective bargaining agreements, ensuring compliance and addressing any discrepancies.
- Help coordinate training sessions on labor relations topics for management and staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a labor relations or human resources context.
- Analytical and report generation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Labor Relations related work experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $54,500 - $101,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
