Job Description:

Develop technical illustration and graphic design in collaboration with other engineering disciplines to support technical manual development. Utilize graphic design software to develop signs, posters and promotional materials. Provide creative design support to the contract proposal and business development team. Enhance graphic design quality to existing line-art, drawings and make technical illustration improvements to reflect best rendering for publication. Asist company photographer with photo shoots of equipment and inventory.

• Develop artwork and illustration of controlled documents, prints, tracings, drawings, manuals, handbooks
• Generate infographics/illustrations and imported 3-D CAD illustrations and wiring diagrams to Adobe Illustrator for tracing/enhancement prior to use in manuals
• Operate and clean, adjust and perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
• Able to work independently with a service-minded work ethic
• Hands-on design, development, and distribution of internal and external communication deliverables for corporate, division, and business units.
• Work overtime (nights, weekends) whenever required by manager to meet business critical graphics illustration needs, electronic CAD data and other related Engineering data
• Maintains inventory of department supplies
• Provide product photography and image manipulation support.

Essential Functions:

The Technical Illustrator prepares diagrams, layouts, photographs and technical information for use in data sheets, poster signage and illustrations for technical manuals, bids and proposals utilizing ADOBE InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator software packages and poster preparation tools as needed. Must be a self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Maintain records and logs related to the receipt, usage and inventory of printing supplies. Maintain assigned work area in a clean and orderly condition; order, shelve and store incoming materials and supplies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in any discipline from a fully accredited college or university; Graphic Design degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, etc.)
• Ability get active clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, etc.)
• Email Marketing Virtual Meetings (Zoom, MS Teams)
• Cloud-based Resource Management
