Job Description:
L3Harris is currently seeking an experienced Specialist, Project Manager to support the Aerojet Rocketdyne Segmentat our Camden, AR facility. The Project Manager will support the program office managing contracts through all phases of the program from the bid and proposal, negotiation, award, and execution efforts with a cross functional team. The Project Manager supports the program manager with accountability for the cost, schedule, and technical performance and briefing internal and external customer leadership on the status of the assigned contracts.
Essential Functions:
- Support program manager with contracts through all phases of the program: bid, proposal, negotiation, award, and execution with a cross-functional team.
- Supports integrated program team (IPT) including program management, contracts, finance, engineering, operations, supply chain, security, and support functions.
- Serve as secondary to the program manager with customer interface, leading program meetings and reviews with customers and executive staff.
- Drives execution milestones, monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, and identify challenges.
- Provide strategic direction, set priorities, and resolve day-to-day issues to achieve cost and schedule objectives.
- Perform risk, opportunity, and issue assessments, ensuring satisfactory program performance.
- Drive innovative solutions for program challenges including cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Review potential contract scope changes and advise management and customers of impacts.
- Coordinate and conduct modification, integration, and test activities, including scheduling, meetings, and presentations; manage departmental budget and expenses.
- Respond to customer needs, including quick reaction requests outside normal business hours.
- Possess strong project management, communication, negotiation, organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
- Engage with and influence engineering, manufacturing, and management personnel.
- Manage and work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment with a focus on problem resolution and process improvement.
- Demonstrate team player abilities with outstanding customer relationship skills.
- Lead and influence without authority, positively impacting and developing direct reports, peers, and others.

- Up to 10% business travel to other L3Harris and Supplier Locations.
- Ability to obtain US Security Clearence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant project management experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related project management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related project management experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
- Demonstrated leadership capability and the ability to drive organizational change in challenging environments.
- Knowledge of manpower planning, forecasting, bids and proposals, milestone scheduling, PM tools, and financial management.
- Experience supporting government contractors, DOD, or aerospace companies.
- Experience with the Earned Value Management System framework.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, evaluating programs’ strengths and weaknesses; implementing process improvements for success.
