Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Training Specialist to develop, organize, and conduct training activities in a manufacturing enviroment. Conducts on-site training consisting of lectures, and practical exercises in accordance with approved programs of instruction using lesson plans, technical manuals, student guides, handouts, practical exercise worksheets, and both written and hands-on evaluations.
Essential Functions:
The following, but not limited to, are the overall Technical Trainer responsibilities:
- Works with customers and functional organizations to establish training requirements.
- Performs analysis to determine master training lists, learning objectives, and course content.
- Designs and develops instructional material
- Communicate with supervisors and managers from the floor to adjust training as needed
- Provides technical training in a classroom environment
- Updates existing instructional material to reflect manufactuing upgrades and capabilities.
- Conducts continuous improvement of course material to maintain quality and effectiveness.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the training area, including the cleanliness and upkeep of training rooms
- Perform administrative tasks including, but not limited to, course evaluations, project grading/posting, computer-based ordering of supplies/tools, and performance evaluations of students
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience/familiarity in the field of Surface Mount Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Or Manufacturing Engineering
- Previous training experince
- Previous experince as a classroom instructor
- Familiar with Training Needs Analysis (TNA) or Training Systems Requirements Analysis (TSRA) to identify training needs by job, position, and/or employee to perform the duties to the desired standard under the prescribed conditions.
- Develops and presents logistics product technical documentation and instructional material.
- Outstanding communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Possess excellent technical skills to understand and translate information into presentable instructional material.
- Familiar with ITAR policies and procedures.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $58,500 - $108,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
